Tip of the Week: Toasted Seasonings
Toasting your seasonings is a great trick that Aaron figured out last year. Take a dry pan and pour the measured seasonings in that you will be using for your meal. Toast them over medium heat, stirring/tossing occasionally so they do not burn. Once you being smelling the seasonings, they are finished.
What is the benefit of toasting your seasonings? First, it makes your kitchen smell delicious, which is a great way to impress dinner guests! But most importantly, it creates a richer and fuller flavor in the spices. This is perfect for many meals, especially slow cooked meals or meals that the spices might be drowned out by other ingredients.
